Skin Bleaching Compounded Prescription Without Hydroquinone (Cream/Gel)

Precautions

For Adults Only: Not for use by children unless explicitly directed by a healthcare provider.

Pet Safety: This medication can harm pets. Keep treated areas away from animals.

Sun Protection: This medication can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Always wear sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and avoid direct sun exposure while using this cream/gel.

Limit Duration: Long-term use of hydroquinone or corticosteroids should be avoided unless directed by your provider.

Avoid Use If: You’re allergic to any of the active/inactive ingredients listed on your label.

Not Recommended For: Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals unless directed by your provider.

How to Use

  1. Cleanse Your Skin: Wash your face with a gentle, non-irritating cleanser, and pat it dry.
     

  2. Apply a Pea-Sized Amount: Use a pea-sized amount of cream/gel for your entire face, avoiding sensitive areas like the corners of your mouth, eyes, and nostrils. For spot treatment, apply a thin layer to the affected area only.
     

  3. Nighttime Application: Apply this cream/gel at night unless your healthcare provider advises otherwise.
     

  4. Moisturize: Follow with a non-comedogenic moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and minimize irritation.
     

  5. Wash Hands After Use: Avoid transferring the cream/gel to other areas.

Tips

  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) every morning while using this cream/gel.
     

  • Avoid using other harsh skincare products like exfoliants, scrubs, or alcohol-based toners unless approved by your provider.
     

  • Consistency is key. Apply the cream as directed by your healthcare provider.
     

  •  If irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of application until your skin gets used to the medication/tolerates it better.
     

  • Store the cream/gel in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

What to Expect

  • Initial Irritation: Redness, dryness, or peeling may occur in the first 2 weeks. This is normal and should subside with continued use.

  • Results Timeline: Visible improvement may take 4-8 weeks with consistent use.

  • Stopping Use: Discontinue only under the guidance of your healthcare provider, as stopping abruptly may affect results.

Side Effects

  • Common: Redness, dryness, peeling, mild irritation.

  • Stop use and consult your provider: If you experience severe irritation, swelling, or allergic reaction occurs.

Disposal

Dispose of unused or expired medication at a drug take-back site. If unavailable, mix the solution with an unappealing substance (e.g., coffee grounds), seal it in a plastic bag, and dispose of it in your household trash.
