How to Use

Prepare Your Skin:

       Wash the affected area with mild soap and water. Pat dry gently.
 

Application Instructions:
 

      1. Apply the medication:
 

  •      For cream, apply a thin layer to the areas instructed by your provider.

  •      For ointment, a pea-sized amount typically covers an area about the size of a quarter. Use less if treating a smaller area.

    2.  Rub Gently: Massage the medication into the skin until absorbed, focusing on the instructed areas.

    3. Moisturize: After application, you can apply a non-comedogenic moisturizer to lock in hydration, unless directed otherwise by your provider.

    4. Wash Hands: Wash hands with soap immediately after application, unless your hands are part of the treated area.

Tips

  • Follow Provider Instructions: Use the medication as directed by your healthcare provider. Confirm the frequency of use if unsure (usually once or twice a day)

  • Consistency Matters: Apply the medication as recommended. If needed, set a reminder to help stay consistent.

  • Gentle Care: Avoid using harsh soaps or exfoliants on treated areas.

  • Moisturization: Regularly use a non-comedogenic moisturizer to support hydration and maintain skin health.

What to Expect

  • Treatment Timeline: Your healthcare provider will guide you on what to expect. Visible improvements may take some time with regular use, usually 3-6 months for most cases

  •  Mild Irritation: Some redness or dryness may occur initially. Contact your provider if symptoms worsen.

  • Monitoring Progress: Follow up with your healthcare provider to assess progress and adjust treatment as needed.

Side Effects

  • Redness, dryness, or irritation may occur.
     

Stop Use and Contact Your Provider If you experience:

  • Significant irritation or discomfort.

  • Unusual swelling or worsening symptoms.

Disposal

Dispose of unused or expired medication at a drug take-back site. If unavailable, mix the solution with an unappealing substance (e.g., coffee grounds), seal it in a plastic bag, and dispose of it in your household trash.
