Hair Growth Compounded Prescription (Foam)

Your healthcare provider has prescribed a custom-compounded medication designed to support your treatment.

Important: This product is a compounded medication, tailored to meet your specific needs as determined by your healthcare provider. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved because they are custom-made for individual patients and not mass-produced.

Precautions

For Adults Only: Not for use by children or during pregnancy.

Pet Safety: This medication can harm pets. Keep treated areas away from animals.

Avoid Use If: You’re allergic to any of the active/inactive ingredients listed on your label.

How to Use

  • Once the medication is transferred from the amber bottle to the foam dispenser, use 10 pumps (approximately 1 mL) to cover the entire scalp. Use less if treating a smaller area.

  1. Apply the medication to the affected areas of the scalp.

  2. Gently massage the medication into the scalp using your fingers.

  3. Blot any excess medication to prevent it from running onto your face.

  4. Remove excess medication from your face with soap and water to avoid hair growth in unintended areas.

  5. Wash your hands with soap immediately after application.

  6. Avoid washing your hair or wetting the treated area for at least 4 hours.

Tips

  • To prevent breakage, use a wide-tooth comb on new hair growth.

  • If you miss an application, apply the next dose at the usual time. Set a phone reminder to ensure consistency.

  • Do not apply more than recommended by your treating physician. Overuse may increase the risk of side effects without improving results.

What to Expect

  • Initial Shedding: Normal in the first 2-8 weeks.

  • Results: Improvement may take 3-6 months of daily use.

  • Stopping Use: Hair loss will resume if you stop treatment.

Side Effects

  • Common: Itching, dryness, mild irritation.

  • Stop use and consult your provider if you experience: Chest pain, dizziness, or severe irritation.

Disposal

Dispose of unused medication at a drug take-back site or mix with dirt/coffee grounds, seal in a bag, and trash it.
